Snow
Hello there! Like this post? Subscribe to the feed and get more giggles every day.
We’re having a nice snow storm outside. The wind is blowing white powder everywhere and it is beginning to pile up pretty deep. E and I spent most of the morning inside, warm and cozy. We played with his sticker book, and practised lacing, and pulled out the big beads. I even made him a bracelet with red, green, and gold string and a green tree bead. But E can only handle being stuck inside for so long, especially when there is magical snow falling outside. So when A went down for his morning nap I bundled E and myself up and we ventured outside. For all of about 10 minutes, then it was so fun anymore. Brrrrrr.
I found the Winter Wonderfest from Wonder Homeschool, a pretty cool recomendation from What Did You Do In School Today. A pretty cool little site if I say so myself.

Brrrrrrr
It’s a cold, rainy day. We even had some hail for a little while. I was not made for cold weather, not at all.
We’ve spent the morning sipping hot cocoa and drawing shapes with out fingers in the condensation on the glass front door. E thought that was great fun, feeling the cold of the door and talking about how the rain got inside the door. Now we’re going to curl up on the couch and watch Ice Age. Yes, I’m freezing so we’re going to watch a movie about snow and ice. E picked it, not me.

Dearest rented Over The Hedge for us to watch last night. It was too cute, a huge hit here. Furry animals for E, eviromentalism for me, and a Clash song for Dearest. The perfect movie for all. Though, I do wish it had a bit more obvious conservationism in it, but it is a children’s movie.
After the boys went to bed we curled up and watched On Deadly Ground. It was an interesting contrast from the previous movie. At the end there is the monologue about saving the enviroment, corruption in big business, and respecting the earth. But first you have to sit through 2 hours of violence and terrorism. Save the earth, stab a man through the face, don’t pollute, break a chair over someone’s head, blow up a big oil company, and, well, blow up a big oil company.
