Mmmm, cookies. While I used the cutters to make animal shapes, E just lumped all the extra dough together in a ball and made a smiley face. So we had warm, fresh cookies after lunch to curl up and enjoy on a cold and snowing day.

Oh, and another article published. This one is just for fun. Global predictions for 2007. What does the future hold?

Curious?

January 30th, 2007 by Summer

Click to see what goes on during a day in the life of a stay at home mom.

I feel like I rarely have time to sit down and write right now, and when I do there are so many other things that need my attention. A is taking his first wobbly steps, clutching on to whatever is nearby and grinning from ear to ear. E is learning so much everyday that I can barely keep up. He has become obsessed with words, asking me what every single group of letters he sees is.

My babies are growing up.

Over Compensation

January 24th, 2007 by Summer

When I was a kid I never had birthday parties. Grandma believed that birthdays were a time for family only, which was just her and uncle Jerry, and mom if she was around. Likewise I wasn’t allowed to go to any other kid’s birthday parties. Grandma felt that if I went to theirs then it would be required that we have a party to invite them to. And since she didn’t want to have parties, I never went to other’s.

Perhaps that’s the reason why I just wiped out my paypal account for E’s birthday. He’s starting to understand things like parties and birthdays and is asking about then whens and wheres. So I just blew $56 on him in birthday fun supplies. I haven’t even started on balloons, or food, or the cake yet.

Heaven help me, but I’m having fun!

Wilderbeasts!

January 23rd, 2007 by Summer

A fw months ago Dearest rented The Wild for my little animal lover to watch. Since then E has been obsessed with wilderbeasts. Its all he talks about, he has even enlisted A by teaching him to growl so they can crawl around together. E being the wilderbeast and A the savage lion.

So imagine E’s joy this morning when we checked the Africa cam and saw a herd of wilderbeasts roaming and grazing.

Nothing like a hairy, smelly bovine to brighten your day.
