Here comes the birthday train
Hello there! Like this post? Subscribe to the feed and get more giggles every day.
Eeeek!
E’s birthday party is in 3 days! I’ve got to find a place for all the stuff in the living room and dining room, go shopping tonight for food, wrap presents, get decorations and plates/cups/napkins, get the goody bags put together, get a few games figured out, run around like a chicken with my head cut off..
Did I just give away my country upbringing with that phrase? I think so.

Eragon
I’m so excited! Today I finally got a copy of Eragon. I got it in the mail today, from paperbackswap.com. I was so happy i did a little dance on the front porch. Luckily its a weekday so most of the neighbors are gone. Ha!
E’s been in a horrible mood the last few days. its been hard to feel up to doing anything when Hannible Lector is running around the house. *sigh* I’ve planned to go play every day, but each time he just acts worse and worse until its a complete meltdown. I’m doing Christine a favor by hidiing here, no one wants to see that boy right now. I hope he’s better by his birthday party, because there’s no way I’m inviting people over so they can watch him acting out in full force.
Is it a rite of passage, some secret trial that all mothers must walk through before their babies can turn 3? Or should I start checking for horn?

Sharing the fun
I’ve been doing a little blog surfing and wanted to share a few favorites I’ve found.
Coffee is for Closers scares me a little with her post on chimps with spears.
Kim Darrell gets a furry little house guest.
I love learning about new places, and these Nazca lines are really kind of cool.
And in honor of the Grammys yesterday here’s a bit from the Mommy Space. Hoping we make it to the Z list, because the D list is to high for me.

Slow down and enjoy the crayon smudges
Monday morning.
Is it just me or are the weeks going by faster than ever? I used to enjoy when the day would speed by and I could get to the quiet of night, but now those fast moving days are taking their weeks with them. In 10 days it will be E’s bithday, his party will be in 7. Holy cow! I’ve got get my butt in gear and get stuff quick.
This evening I folded towels and handed them to him. he ran back and forth putting them away in the drawer, so proud of himself. He’s taken A under his wing and makes a big deal about playing with him. He asks me what every word he sees is, he can count to ten, he is beginning to grasp concepts that once were too much. He can tell you is a color is light or dark, that is you have 2 cookies and I give you one more now you have three, and that hugs and kisses will pretty much get you anything you ask for from mommy. Yep, my sweet little baby is growing up. What do I do now?
I won’t even get into how big A is. I’ve come to the conclusion that he never was little, which is true if you think about how big he was at birth.
Boys, they grow too quickly.
