High Five yo!
Hello there! Like this post? Subscribe to the feed and get more giggles every day.
I ran across a new site today that is like digg, but for blogs. HighFivez.com. The process is similar. You submit a blog or a blog post and others can “high five” if they liked it. Ther are several categories for the blogs to go into, such as humor or science or religion. And the popular posts are shown on the front page. It seems simple so I submited my blog to the site.
First you have to join the site, which is free, by filling out a brief form then waiting for the confirmation email. Once you verify your registration you can begin submitting blogs and blog posts. You can also high five the posts you like, and pound the posts you don’t. Get it, pound? Oh that’s rich!
If you are used to using digg the process will be familiar to you. It is an easy way to get your blog noticed, to find other blogs that you might like, and to share blog posts from others that you love. It is still fairly new, but I’m hoping they will set up buttons that people can add to their blogs similar to digg. That would be great.
Until then just check out the site, add your blog, and give a few high fives out to some blogs. Like mine.

Rain rain go away
If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em. Right?
Its a chilly, rainy day out. But the rain has a purpose. The grass is bright and greem, colorful flowers are popping up everywhere, the birds are dancing and singing, and everything smells so clean and fresh.
This morning while A napped E and I took a walk. It was misting out, but in the 60’s so not too cold. We splashed in puddles, talked about the flowers, whether the birds were happy or not, and just enjoyed the Spring rain. We even sat out cups to collect the rain water.
Back home we curled up at the table and read Rain by Marion Bauer. Its a cute story, with simple words, and he can understand it. We talked, a little, about the water “recycling”. He was pretty fascinated that the snow had melted, went up to the clouds, and now came back down as rain. There’s magic in nature for little kids. I love that.
Then we pulled out the waterpaints and painted what we saw from our walk. While mine was a normal picture of grass and flowers, E’s was a swirling blend of greens, pinks, blues, and yellows. There were no lines or shapes or finite objects. Just colors.

Being a life coach, I’m very familiar with the negative impacts of that. As I navigated through school, career, marriage, and motherhood, I became more and more appreciative and grateful for my old friends. No matter how busy you are, I hope you take time to nurture the significant friendships in your life.”
That concludes this edition. Submit your blog article to the next edition of
