Hi! Welcome...

Wired For Noise I\'m Summer, a mouthy, sarcastic bitch. I\'m passionate about natural birth, long term breastfeeding, and living naturally. I curse too much, love tattoos, and will some day be crushed to death by my book collection. I homeschool, dream of gardening, and swing to the left.

The new year is almost here and you know what that means. Everyone starts doing their year-end blog round ups! Thrilling!

OK, so call me completely uninspired but I actually kind of like piecing together the hits and misses of the year. It’s a look back through time. After all, a year in blogging time is like 25 in the real world.

  1. I Don’t Like Christians
  2. Breastfeeding Moms Are Pigs
  3. I Want To Be The Woman In The Glossy Magazine

5 Things I Did in 2009 That I’m Proud Of:

  1. I gave birth in my bathroom.
  2. Put myself out there to be a freelance writer.
  3. Driving across the country by myself to go to BlogHer 09
  4. I stopped worrying about what everyone else thinks of me online.
  5. I made butter. Booyah!

3 Things That Scared The Piss Out Of Me In 2009:

  1. Michael’s heart attack
  2. Driving across the country by myself to go to BlogHer 09
  3. Opening up about my drug use and addiction

1 Thing I’m Glad I Didn’t Do in 2009:

  1. Stop blogging. Yeah, things got sketchy there for a little bit. And I’m still not back to full steam yet. But I haven’t stopped completely. And even when I’m feeling my worst about this blogging stuff, I’m still glad to ahve a place where I can share my thoughts unedited.  And in longer than 140 characters.

Any year that involves giving birth in your bathroom is an accomplished one, indeed.

(And go you on the freelance writing! I have bookmarked your page to check out later.)
