3 Kids Verses 1 Mom
I’m freaking out a little over the idea of having three kids. Especially three that are aged 5 and under. How the hell am I supposed to nurse a newborn, chase a toddler, and keep the five year old entertained? I might pop a blood vessel thinking about it.
A popped blood vessel might explain why I lost my mind this weekend. First I set down and created a very detailed daily plan via Simple Mom. I’m talking seriously detailed, down to the smallest moments of the day. Luckily I stopped myself before scheduling every diaper change too. Then I flogged myself for not sticking with the million times before that I’ve tried meal planning and swore I’d stick with it this time. Figuring out dinner is hard enough now, I can’t imagine what it will be like with three kids.
I’m watching shows like 18 Kids and Counting and Jon and Kate Plus 8 trying to keep myself calm. I figure if they can do it with a housefull of kids surely I can with just three. Right?
I hope so.
Barring any further insanity I’ll hopefully be able to do this. Maybe even without a detailed daily management chart and meal plan. Maybe. Possibly. Hopefully. Oh dear heavens, I’m screwed.

You’ll do fine!! I have 3 boys. My oldest turned 5 9 days after the baby was born (and my middle was exactly 2.5). 1 year later I’m still here to tell about it
3 is complex in ways I never imagined, but it’s good. The first few months were rough in some ways. But awesome!

You’ll be awesome. I know it will definitly take some getting used to…it took K and I a little while to adjust when Kaleb arived (Jake was 6, and Gabee was 2 1/2 when Kaleb was born) and she said that adding the third was easier than adding the second because you already know how to juggle. It’s an adjustment of course!! But you’ll do it, and it will be fine. I have the faith in you
*hugs*
