31 Days To Bye-Bye Bushie

President Bush waves goodbye

It’s pretty clear that I’m not a fan of Bush. In fact I’ve spent most of the last 8 years counting down the days til he was gone. His latest actions aren’t making that any better. Instead of crawling off to his ranch and being a good little lame duck Bush has decided to go for the “scorched earth” plan, burn it all to the ground on his way out then laugh when the next guy tries to recover anything from it.

Take his latest attack for example: flipping the bird to women who use birth control.

Oh yeah Bushie, great fucking job there. As he blows kisses to the assholes fighting to increase abortions by removing birth control and somehow calling that anti-abortion he’s letting us all know what he really thinks of women in America. And of course doing it in a way that sidesteps things just enough so that Obama will have to fight like hell to get rid of this.

Honestly, I hope moe pharmacists, doctors, and nurses go ahead and use that conscience clause. Because it’s against my conscience to provide medication to social conservatives. But hey, we can just pray about it instead. That should make you feel better.

I can’t wait till he’s gone either. I never agreed with the decisions he made, and I think that our next president is going to do a much better job, even if he does nothing at all.

I think it is going to be a very long, continuing uphill battle, to help conservatives realize that their approach to reproductive health actually hurts people and pushes women into desperate situations.

It will start with getting them to actually look at individuals … understanding circumstances … realizing that women are not skipping into clinics, happily seeking out abortions … and making mothers and children a priority.

Ya’ know … acting like Jesus.

    Heaven forbid. ;)
