What a fantastic sounding book! Do you think the projects would hold the attention of an almost 9 year old?

Haha, A good stubborn kid will do well in the real world. She would be able to fend off for herself, that's for sure. Of course, too much of it isn't much of a good thing either.

Hey yah.
Sounds like you solved it. But thought I would put my oar in. Aodhan was about 5 months old before we had our first 'plug' and it killed! I have gone through the sandpaper/glass shard pain about 7 times since. He is just about to turn 9 months and we have been free of the plugs for a good three weeks. It is brutal, and the pain is blinding. So sorry for you two. What has helped me is: a tylenol when I feel it coming on, a really hot bath and then I try to massage the plug down. It tends to block my milk for a half day and then he will suck the plug closer to the nipple. It takes about 3 days for it to abate. Good luck and you are doing an awesome job! I just adore your writing....fantastic stuff.

Another vote for thrush or maybe a milk blister. I got them often and they were painful and not very visible. More nursing, warm compresses and time were the only thing that worked. The pain did go away eventually. Hang in there mama!

I always liked to talk about the medieval times in history. It always never ceases to amaze me that all of those things actually happened and that it is not in fact fiction. This is solid history we are talking about.
