Goodbye 2008, Hello 2009
2008 is officially past, and with it hopefully the things we blunders and mess-ups of the year. I’m looking forward to 2009 being a much better year all around. To start it off right I’ve got to share my breakup song for 2008, making us officially through.
For 2009 I am planning on being the best me I can be. This is the year that I plan to put more effort into writing and earning some money. I’m going to put more effort into being a part of my online community, meaning actually leaving comments instead of just reading and keeping the conversation going on Twitter.
I’m going to put more effort into the boy’s education. Unschooling is amazing, but I’ve found that too often I use that as an excuse to let myself get lazy. Especially during the first part of my pregnancy when the nausea was intense. I’m thrilled to have found the post Where Do We Go From Here, proving that I’m not the only one wanting to mix classical with holistic styles while still keeping an unschooling vibe alive. Dude, could I be anymore eclectic?
Most of all, I’m going to stop being so hard on myself if I don’t meet all of my expectations. I don’t have to be perfect, and there’s no way I’m going to come close. I’m going to just be me, warts and all.
