Hi! Welcome...

Wired For Noise I\'m Summer, a mouthy, sarcastic bitch. I\'m passionate about natural birth, long term breastfeeding, and living naturally. I curse too much, love tattoos, and will some day be crushed to death by my book collection. I homeschool, dream of gardening, and swing to the left.

I Get Fan Mail

OK, so really I don’t get fan mail. But I did get my piece piece of hate mail, via a very angry and confused Twitter user. And because it cracked me up to no end (seriously, I woke up giggling about it last night) I had to share it.

Summerm

I began following you on Twitter because I was told that you were strong supporter of home education and knowledgeable on several topics. Unfortunately I have found from your postings bile and evil spewing forth.

I want to say that I am a moral Christian woman and I am nothing short of shocked and appalled at some of the things I have read from you. It is clear that your soul is tainted with sin, and perhaps you are so far into the dark side that there is no salvation for you. I will pray for you and your children however, because that is what God has called me to do. I can only hope that someday you will accept Jesus and turn yourself around from the eternal damnation awaiting you.

You need to repent on your moral failings, such as supporting the murder of unborn children and supporting the sin of homosexuality. You need to think about whether your fork tongued president will save you when your come before God. And as a mother you need to think about where your children are heading as you continue to teach them your “values”. If you do not care about your own soul can you not consider where this lack of morality will send them?

Lastly, I think that you should stop trying to sell yourself as a home educating parent on sites such as Twitter. Godly families such as mine are now finding these types of sites important to connecting with other families. It is nothing short of pure dishonesty to make claims that you are a mother concerned with educating her children when in reality you are only spreading your evil messages to the world. Tricking God loving families into being subjected to your venom is only one more thing that our Lord will look at when your time comes.

Repent now and find Christ.

OK, so I’m going to hell and taking my kids with me. Well, at least I’ll be in good company. But seriously, how the hell does someone follow me on Twitter and not figure out in the first 5 minutes that I’m a pretty proud liberal? I’m not exactly silent about it. In fact some might say I talk about politics a little too much.

The kicker is that I can’t be both a liberal and homeschool my kids. Oh no, that does not compute. I must be lying about hoemschooling just so I can use Twitter to brainwash Christians into being baby killing, gay loving Liberals. Who know I had that much Twitter clout?

Oh, Summer, Summer, Summer. You forgot the most basic of premises: only Evangelicals get to be homeschoolers.

I should know. I’m a Southern Baptist pastor’s wife that voted for the fork-tongued president. I am the President of the “Breaking Basic Premises” Club.

By the way, you are behind on your club dues. You can make out your check directly to me.

You can only homeschool if you are a right wing Christian??? That’s to funny.

Things like this make the nice, smart, non-judgmental, Christians look like idiots. grrr!

LOL. That really cracked me up.

Seriously, I don’t get how “liberal” and “homeschooler” are mutually exclusive.

OMG! I am laughing so hard I think I peed a little ;)

I’d hate to see what she’d say about me, LOL! Liberal PAGAN homeschooler. I keep my kids home to keep them away from the eebil influence of them Xtian kids at school ;) ROTFLMAO!!

Summer, you are an awesome mom, and one of the first homeschooling bloggers I started really following, because I LOVE and appreciate your views, thoughts and ideals!

So there, Xtian freako mom, there are some of us who follow Summer cause we wanna grow up to be just like her! ;)

I felt the need to come back and clarify two things..

I am an Out of the Broom Closet in your face Pagan homeschooling mom, not just a liberal Pagan homeschooling mom ;)

and when I referred to the Xtian Freako Mom, I was only referring to the one who felt the need to hate on Summer. I know and follow MANY, MANY wonderful Xtian homeschooling moms, who I learn a great deal from every day :)

    Bwahahaha!!!

I’m still trying to figure out how me, the hard core, liberal, pagan, homeschooling, freaky-deaky girl, manage to get followed by hundreds, and I mean HUNDREDS of conservatives…

So don’t feel bad Summer! I don’t think they really pay attention at all to who they’re following until they happen to see a Tweet that they disagree with.

Heck, even if you were Christian and conservative, your kids could still be Hellward bound. Take me, for instance. My parents are Christian (though not evangelical) and politically conservative. I ended up being a liberal atheist.

“Things like this make the nice, smart, non-judgmental, Christians look like idiots. grrr!” Agreed.

“But seriously, how the hell does someone follow me on Twitter and not figure out in the first 5 minutes that I’m a pretty proud liberal?” I have no idea. That’s one of the reasons I love reading your stuff: I get to hear the other side of things [smile]. Love it!

Just another fine example of why I stopped going to church. If that’s an example of a church-going Christian, I’ll stay home and read my bible by myself. Maybe she needs a WWJD bracelet to get her back on track.

LOL She might need more than a bracelet. I’m thinking a tattoo across her forehead could help. ;)
