Illegal Activities
Last night we ran down to the tax office to file Dearest’s refund. Everything seemed fine, until they had to enter my information in. It seems that my driver’s license is expired.
The state used to send a card in the mail a month or so before your license expired. Having gotten on card, I wasn’t really thinking about it. Unfortunately I had forgotten that they don’t do that any longer. So I’ve been unknowingly driving with an expired license for a couple weeks now. I’m such a criminal.
Luckily I’m a good driver and the car is in decent shape so there hasn’t been anything for a cop to pull me over about. No broken led tail lights or expired tags. But now I’ve got to go get my license renewed. Soon. Before my luck runs out and I get side swiped or rear ended.
I see a great blog post in my future. The story about going to the DMV with both boys in tow. It will be the one that ends with a stiff drink and an early bedtime, I’m sure.

My husband took time off work when I had to get a new DL and I am glad. I had to keep coming back for papers that I did not think I needed but really did despite what the stupid website told me. Grrr. Good luck!!!

I wish I could get mine to get up and watch the boys so I could go. Though you reminded me to go check online and see what I’ll need, and it looks like it might take a while. I can’t find all that they require, and since it’s already expired I have to jump through extra hoops. Dang it!
