More Refund Splurging

Dearest has been trying to decide what to splurge on himself with his refund. Right now he has been leaning towards getting something for his car. He already has a really nice stereo system in itthat a friend helped him with a year ago, but he would like something else. I think he’s just tempted because of work. Since he works at a travel stop he is always staring at shelves and shelves of high priced gadgets meant to tempt unsuspecting drivers.

All kinds of radars, dashboard alarm clocks, things to boost cell phone signal in the car, and even mini-fridges that plug into your lighter are sold there. I’m not sure who really needs half of the stuff, but it sells. Aside from a few things that the truck drivers might really use, most of it is just crap in shiny packages.

So when he whines about wanting something fun for the car, but doesn’t know what it is exactly he wants, I can’t help but to think he’s been suckered in. Now I’m just waiting with bated breath to see what he buys.

I think I’ve managed to talk him out of anything too bad. Or at least he’s willing to wait until Tuesday before making any big shopping plans. Oy!

Let us know what he buys. We’re thinking of putting our refund towards another laptop…because apparently two PC’s and one laptop is not enough. LOL We only live once right…might as well enjoy it!

Convince him to invest half of it, that way he doesn’t feel as bad spending the money.
