One thing that is weird but really does work on crayon- a used dryer sheet!! No joke, just rub the crayon marks with it (this is for a hard surface, btw) and they disappear. don't know why or how, but it works!!

When my husband and I bought our first house, we were giddy (read stupid) with ownership and LET our then 2 year old color on ALL of the walls. Every wall surface under four feet high was a mural. All well and good until it was time to sell the house. Toothpaste kind of worked. Lots of things kind of worked. BINZ primer was the final solution A painful lesson that wasn't repeated with the next kids.
