Hi! Welcome...

Stress

I’m certainly no stranger to stress lately. The sudden move, the pregnancy, stress has become a way of life for me. Now, because the fates like to see how far I can be pushed before snapping, there’s a third level of stress to add to the mix. Dearest has lost his job.

And just in time for Christmas too.

Before this latest turn of events I had already been seeing stress eating away at me and knew I wanted to write about it more. The gears started turning and I decided to create a separate blog just for dealing with stress, and hopefully helping other stressed out moms. Because, man, moms are some stressed out people. I call it Mama’s Coffee Time, a little daily coffee break for moms. I’m kicking off the official launch with a little challenge for myself, and for anyone else who wants to join in.

15 Days of Yoga I’m going to do 15 Days of Yoga, each day striving for at least 15 minutes of stress release through yoga. My hope is that I can keep myself from exploding for at least 15 days. Of course that means Dearest has 15 days to get a new job before I start getting a twitch. Oh who am I kidding, I’ve already got a twitch. It started yesterday afternoon when he sat on the couch instead of going to work.

So, stop by Mama’s Coffee Break, if you feel the need to release some daily tension join in the Yoga Challenge, and send some new job vibes our way. Preferibly something that pays great and offers lots of bonuses.

Oh, hon. I’m so, so sorry! That’s more stress than anybody needs. Good for you for trying to turn it to something positive, with the yoga challenge and new blog.

I’m sorry to hear about hubby’s job, Summer :( That’s definitely stressful to a stay-at-home-mom! I’ll check out the blog for sure. My hubby had to take a pay cut at work, which isn’t nearly as bad as what happened to some of his (ex) co-workers. I really hate this economy :(

    *hugs*

Summer, I’m so sorry about this news, which I think I read on Twitter first. A few years ago, my husband lost his job around Thanksgiving and I was really scared. Things did work out for us, and I will send you the very best wishes that things work out for you too. I’ll also make sure I click over from the Reader whenever you post so that every little impression helps boost your ad revenue! : )

Obviously, this just sucks. I’m so sorry. Having been there and remembering what it’s like, I feel panicky and stressed for you.
