And the move is done, mostly.

I still have a couple bugs to fix and a few links to iron out but for the most part my move from the free blogger blog to a wordpress blog on it’s own server is complete. I’m happy to say it was a fairly smooth move. There were a couple kinks that got to me, but nothing that couldn’t be taken care of with a few deep breaths.

I’m much happier now. For starters I love the way Wordpress works much more so than blogger. The functions are better, the admin area is much smoother, and I can get in and get what I need done a lot quicker. Also I can add so many fun plugins and widgets and really make my blog fly. I’m also digging the new layout. I spent a lot of time going over every free template I could find. There are so many awesomes out there that it was hard to choose. This one is clean and simple, but still fun. All it took was a couple changes and I’m thrilled with how it looks.

Now it’s a waiting game. Waiting for everyone to change links to here, to change their feeds to here, and to find their way over. After the new year I plan to begin moving inward more. I had been expanding, putting my writing “out there” in several places. Right now I’m feeling the need to move in and center, to keep myself in one contained area. So I wanted my blog to b a place where I could feel comfortable and happy with for that drawing in.
