The Big 28
It’s my birthday, another year old but not much wiser. I won’t be doing much celebrating, mainly because I’m too pregnant to get drunk and make a fool of myself. Of course that just means I’ll have to make a fool of myself sober.
I’m making a list of all the goodies I want, and breaking it down into the sensible and not so sensible list. I don’t expect to get anything from either list, since Scrooge Dearest isn’t into birthday celebrations. But I’ve got a good chocolate cake sitting in the fridge and a plate of fudge that I made myself. What more could a girl really ask for?
The sensible list:
A new camera – yes this is too sensible. How could a mom survive without a working camera to take pictures of her kids?
A new coat – mine is several years old, stained and getting thin. Not to mention it looks pretty unfashionable.
Better blog hosting – I’m a blogger, what do you want from me here?
The not so sensible list:
A trip to BlogHer this summer – short of winning the lottery or selling a kid this trip just isn’t going to happen.
A fancy new diaper bag – As pretty as they are, I just can’t justify dropping $100 on a Ju Ju Be bag.
A new laptop – Sure a Mac would make me feel like a star, but do I really need one?
