The Case Against Breastfeeding In Public

Often the argument is made that breastfeeding is like shit, both are natural and neither should be done in the view of others.

I think my tweet says it all.

   My blood pressure rises every time the BFing issue in public becomes an ‘issue’. Somehow it is culturally acceptable for breasts to be hanging out of clothing for no apparent reason than to be “seen”, but any time a mother inadvertently exposes (or NOT) a breast to nurse (most of us become quickly skilled at being discreet I MUST say), the ‘indecent exposure’ warning is blown. ARGH!! Boobs were MADE for nursing, not for Playboy magazine, bikinis, tight clothing or any other fantasy.
   I DO feel, however, as a nursing mother I am careful about HOW I nurse in public, but no mother should have to be careful about WHERE they nurse.
