The freaks, the geeks, and the weirdos

OK, doing the 100 things post inspired me to do a “Cast of Characters” post. In case you’re lost about the people making me a little bit more unstable on a daily basis.

“Dearest” – The man I put up with, or who puts up with me. We’ve been together officially since August of 2002. We met rather…akwardly. I had been engaged and living with a man who I thought I loved. Wedding dress was bought, things were being planned, everythign was coming down the line. Then out of no where he tells me that he loves someone else, packs up all my stuff, and drops me off on my mom’s front porch. We worked together so in the process of getting a new life I also got a new job. Where I met this totally hot guy, whom I was told was just left by his fiance. It started as friends wallowing in self pity together (though I did think he was HOTT), but the first time he leaved over and kissed me that was it. We’ve been through a lot, and there are plenty of days when I’d like to just pack up and go, and we don’t see eye to eye on a LOT of our ideas on life and parenting. But he’s still hot.

Interesting detail: While still job hunting I made a special poppet to find love again. I added lots of peony leaves as they symbolize protection. The next day I applied at the store where I met Dearest, who happens to be ex-Navy. Protection, Navy, not what I was expecting but I love it.

“E” – My oldest child. How do I begin? “For sale: young boy, blonde hair, blue eyes, only slightly used, as-is, no returns,…” Oh wait, scratch that. He’s 3 going on 16, incredibly bright and incredibly shy. It’s a bit difficult to brag about how much he knows when you just stands there staring at the floor. Luckily its a phase, because I miss my very social, very talkative, lover boy. He used to charm his way out of free toys at garage sales every time. I feel that in high school I’m going to be getting to know a lot of girls from around town, and his father will be so proud. LOL He’s a very stereotypical boy despite me efforts to curb it. Guns (which he’s not allowed to have), cars, dinosaurs, and anything loud are on his favorites list. He’s very imaginative, hard headed, and hilarious. And he’s my “sweety beety bear”. He’ll hate that when he’s older.

“A” – My baby/demon spawn. And I say that in the most loving way! You see, when A was just a few months old E watched a movie about wilderbeasts. He spent the next few day/weeks/months crawling around the house growling like a rabid animal and claiming to be a wilderbeast. A observed and mimiced quite well. Now his way of showing affection is to growl and bare his teeth, and he can make some monsterous evil growls. Thus he’s my demon baby. He’s a cuddlier, loves to be held, and adores his big brother. Its cute watching him follow all day mimicing him, even sitting next to E against the wall during a time out.

I’ll add more as itr becomes nessisary, but this is the main 3 I’m likely to be talking about.
