The Shopping Update
I forgot to share what Dearest did end up getting with his refund money.
First I got my new camera, which was a steal. I had planned on getting the Cannon Powershot which was $149 marked down to $129. But when we got there we found that the Sony Cyber-Shot, a much better camera, was marked down to $99. Plus an additional 20% off if we bought 2 acessories. So I grabbed a memory card and a cheap carrying case and walked out hugging and kissing my new camera. Literally, hugging and kissing it.
Then Dearest wanted to go check out his electronic splurdge. First he was focused on a flat screen TV. I rolled my eyes, hard. If it were up to me we would probably not have cable at all, but then he would fall over dead from lack of ESPN and I’d feel guilty for his early demise. Though, that’s no reason to spend an unholy amount of money on some fancy flat screen wall mounted TV and a tv lift cabinet to hold it. He finally settled on a new DVD player.
Unfortunately, after an hour of messing with the cables and another half an hour on the phone with tech support we came to the conclusion that we grabbed a bum machine. He blames me, since I was the one who pulled out the box from the stack. I can’t get the winning lotto ticket, but I can buy the broken machine with ease. Now we’ve to take it back in and get a replacement. Oh fun.
