Time To Move On
When we moved into this house last year I had hoped it would be a short solution. The house was cute at first, but it seemed like each day a new problem appeared. Now I think it should just be knocked down and a descent house put in it’s place.
The last few months we’ve spent every free minute searching for a new place to live. Something more permanent, more secure, and preferibly with a landlord that actually gives a crap. Despite there being a flood of homes on the market we’ve had no luck. Everything was either out of our budget, as bad as the one we’re in now, or someone else snatched it from us. Frankly, I’d be happy just packing up and leaving this state all together. But Michael has these crazy ideas about living near his job and not living like hippies in the woods.
I know, he’s so darn picky!
But then last week we found 3 perfect houses. All in our price range, all looked good, all in nice neighborhoods. And all three called us Saturday to say the houses were ours. After a drought of offers we got flooded.
Yesterday we signed the lease on our new home. It’s not the one I wanted, but it’s the one that best fits our family. We’ll be three blocks from the library, about six blocks from the big park. The yard is fenced, there are tons of kids in the neighborhood, and I adore the landlady. Absolutely adore her. She pointed out one smaller room would be good for Saffron, then said she always preferred to keep her babies with her at night instead though.
If you find a way to sneak in advocating co-sleeping while showing a house I can’t help but applaud you.
I’ll be fairly scarce online as we work to get moved in, spending more time packing and organizing that anything else. But once we’re there I’ll actually have a reliable connection again. No more getting frustrated and stressed from a bouncing connection. Seriously, I need a strong drink and a acne treatment every time I pick up the computer now.
Send me quick moving vibes, I’ll need them.

Quick, and very SMOOTH, moving vibes heading your way. I hope that this new house is a great place where you guys can spend many happy years.
