Valentine’s Day Is Coming Up

The big Love Day is coming soon, Valentine’s Day, the day to give the one you love lot’s of shiny bling and chocolate goodies. I’ve got two posts up over at Eco Child’s Play to help any last minute shoppers figure out what to give. First I’ve got a list of the Top 5 Green Valentine’s Day Gifts. These are your typical gifts, but with a green twist on them. Fair trade jewelry, organically grown flowers, and more.
Then to cure your sweet tooth, because you already know I’m a chocoholic, I’ve got a recipe up for some Black Bean Brownies. Yes, you read that right. Black beans in your brownies. But before you wrinkle your nose I promise, these things are GOOD. So good I have to hide the pan or my kids will eat until they get sick. All you taste is chocolate, but you get all the health benefits of black beans. No complaining about the chocolate going to your thighs or needing weight loss pills after Valentine’s Day, these are delish and won’t make your pants not fit anymore. It’s a double win.
Let me share something with you about Valentine’s Day. The last time I got something for Valentine’s Day, it was a Jury Summons (yes, it arrived ON Valentine’s Day).
On a related note, this is why I dislike Valentine’s Day (aside from the jury summons).
