Vision Board Update

I noticed several hits coming to my blog lately by people doing searches for vision boards. So I thought it would be fun to update how my progress has been so far. Mind you it’s still early in the year, but I’ve been extremely happy with my results.

About a month ago I created a vision board to help focus on my goals. It was nothing fancy, just a small handful of images that focused on what I wanted. Health and nutritian, a new camera, and to make some money online to help support us. I just wanted to focus on what was important to me at that time. Since then I have added a couple more things to my vision board. One was a new printer, because I am tired of having to run to the library every time I need to print off a page or two. The second was an image I found in a magazine that I thought was perfect for what I want in this home: contentment.

Here is the newly updated vision board:

So how have my goals been going?

I didn’t end up getting the camera I had picked out, but I did get one that is better and for a lot less money. So there’s one huge goal out of the way. I’ll admit I was hesitant at first because cameras are just so expensive (to me), but having it staring back at me every day on my vision board gave me a boost. Along with everyone talking me up about it. It is a lot easier to think positive when you have people supporting you in it.

contentment at home

The new goal of having contentment at home is coming along too. There are bad days, of course. But I’m beginning to feel less trapped here, which I am hoping is a good thing. It doesn’t mean that I’ve given up any dreams of moving, it just means that I’m not letting those dreams make me unhappy about where I am right now. Because that unhappiness begins to spread to the rest of my life.

OK, so what about the money? I know that’s what a lot of people are probably wondering about. I did put on my vision board that I wanted tomake a certain amount of money online each month. I don’t have dreams of becoming an internet celebrity needing my own personal talent management and signing huge endorsement deals. I just wanted what I’m already doing, and enjoying, to be a little more lucrative for me. So far I’ve begun making a small amount of money both here and at my other blogs so that I’m getting very close to that goal. On top of cash I’ve also begun receiving books and CDs for free to review. I’m all about the swag.

I hope this little update is what the vision board searchers have been looking for. Feel free to ask me anything more about my vision board and I’ll try to answer it as best as I can.

I love vision boards, I found out about them on Oprah and instantly started to create my own with goals for my future. It helped me focus on what I wanted after graduation, I was so confused on what I wanted in my life but seeing all my goals together made it easier to figure out my next step. Just a tip, I found this cool website where you can make virtual vision boards, VisionBoardSite.com. You can put audio and stuff on it. It gets you so pumped, my next goal is using it to lose weight. Up till now I’ve only used that whole picture on the fridge technique. I’m excited to see how this will help motivate me!!!! Thanks!!
