Today is the start of the 5 Minutes For Mom Ultimate Blog Party. It’s also my oldest son’s 4th birthday. So welcome to my blog, grab a slice of cake, and have a look around. This is my little blog-home on the range internet, where I babble on about my kids and life in general.

My name is Summer and I’m a stay at home mom to two little boys. There is Evan the birthday boy, overflowing with energy and imagination and just plain silliness. He’s also inherited his mother’s attitude problem. When I say good morning he says good night and slams the door shut. I think he’ll be the next ruler of the free world. Then there’s Trey, the toddler. He’s my lovey-dovey bear, always there with hugs and snuggles and begging to be held constantly.

I’m one of those bleeding heart liberal hippie type parents. We coslept with Trey until just recently and he’s still breastfeeding and will until he’s ready to quit. I’ve cloth diapered both of my boys and loved it. I don’t believe in corporal punishment for children. Some times I talk about the environment and green ideas, sometimes I get political, and sometimes I like to give away goodies for fun.

I’m a serial writer. I still have that dream where I become a famous writer and travel the world sharing stories with everyone I meet. Unfortunately since that’s not likely to happen I just travel the internet writing here and there. I have articles published at Helium and Associated Content. I also talk to myself write about homeschooling at Mom Is Teaching, crafts at Creative Mom Cafe, and most recently about parenting at The Attached Mother. I also make and sell jewelry in my own little online shop.

I’m so glad that everyone had a chance to stop by. I hope you grabbed some cake and took some time to mingle.
