Win Aveeno’s Positively Ageless Lifting & Firming Product Line

Contest closed!

Today is Leap Day, that extra day that comes only once every four years. What if you could take the entire day to do what ever you wanted? What if today was treated like an extra day where everyone could just kick back and enjoy? What would you do with an extra day all to yourself?

To celebrate leap year this year Aveeno commissioned a survey asking just this. The results were not that surprising for us moms. One half of the women they surveyed said they would take that extra day to get more sleep or pamper themselves. Moms were the ones most asking for this extra day of rest with 73% dreaming of a extra day of rest in the year. What else did Aveeno find in their survey? That 65% of American women are skimping out on caring for their skin, spending only 30 minutes or less each day doing so. And I’ll admit it, I’m one of those. I do a quick wash, maybe a little lotion if I’m feeling the need, and then I’m off chasing the boys and just too busy to worry about the rest.

What if you could pamper yourself every day while you sleep? Sure, it’s not an extra day to relax but it could be a start right? Introducing Aveeno’s new Positively Ageless Lifting & Firming products. Use their Lifting and Firming Night Cream to pamper your skin while you are still getting sleep. Anything that I can do while I am sleeping scores big points in my book. You just rub it in, go to bed, and let the cream do all the work. Perfect for exhausted moms like me.

Of course the collection includes more than just the night cream. There is also a Lifting and Firming Eye Cream, to help carry those dark bags under every moms’ eyes from lack of sleep and stress, and a Lifting and Firming Daily Moisturizer with SPF 30 to use during the day to keep your skin soft and protected from the sun. All three of these products are made with the natural benefits of wheat and shiitake mushrooms. They are hypoallergenic and gentle enough for sensitive skin.

Now, if you’ve made it this far I have a special treat for you. I’m not just talking up Aveeno’s Lifting and Firming product line because I’ve got skincare issues. Right now, I want to hear about your issues. What would you do with an extra day all to yourself? Would you spend the day pampering yourself or get some much needed rest? Leave me a comment and let me know how you would spend your extra day in the year. One lucky person will be chosen at random to win the complete Aveeno Lifting and Firming product line. One jar of the night cream, one jar of the eye cream, and one bottle of the daily moisturizer.

Aveeno Lifting and Firming

My first thought is that I would go have a Pedicure…love pedicures!
and then I thought…I wonder what the girls would like to do? Is that typical Mom or what? the point of the day away is to get away from the kids and here I am thinking about taking them with me!!

But as a afterthought, I would read, maybe visit my “local yarn store”, visit the art supply store and do something creative (all alone without the girls! that would be heaven!)

Okay, I admit it, I’m boring. I would probably do much the same things that I always do, but, because it is an “extra” day, I would SLOW DOWN.

I would try to manage both, a spa day and a good book by the fire place, with my head well placed in Papas arm!

  27. Ellie 1 March 2008 at 9:56 am Permalink

That’s a tough one! I have so many things to get done around the house. BUT, I would at least splurge a bit. A hot stone massage and a bubble bath with a glass of wine and a good book.

  28. Abby Henry 1 March 2008 at 10:04 am Permalink

Oh, to have a day off… I’d probably do something like clean the house, there’s never enough time for that anymore with a 10 month old!!

  33. I would definitely spend the day with my husband and get a sitter for the baby since the hubby and I hardly ever get to spend quality time together anymore. We need to set more ‘dates’ … putting that on my ‘to do’ list right now. :)

Oh and I’ve been wanting to try these products. I’ve seen their ads on TV.

I hate to say it, but I would clean. I’m on a big organizing spree and find that the more organized I become, the more time I have with my family. So a day off to organize some more closets would mean more time for my family and me later on.

I would go to a high end boutique and try on everything in the store…then buy the cheapest thing I can find on a clearance rack! Bad, but so much fun…some of them even give you wine!

  36. Susanne 1 March 2008 at 12:59 pm Permalink

Ahhh…I might have to spend it cleaning if I had a sitter, this place can get pretty dirty!! Thanks!!

  37. Carica 1 March 2008 at 12:59 pm Permalink

I definitely need to catch up on some rest as I’ve been feeling particularly sleep-deprived lately, but I also would catch up on the kids’ baby books, since I’m about a year behind…

  38. Meg 1 March 2008 at 1:11 pm Permalink

Hm. Tough decision. I don’t know whether I’d treat myself to a spa day or have a day at home alone so I could tackle organization projects that have been driving me nuts not being done. Both would relieve stress. Thanks for the contest! ( meg.wilson@gmail.com )

I would have to say I’d do alot of things.
First, I would sleep in until 9:00am. Then, breakfast with some girlfriends until around 11:00am. Then, go home, make sandwiches with my kids and have a picnic. After that, I’d take a long bath, then a long shower. I would get dressed up, and go out to a club, or a piano bar. Drink, have fun and then return home. Wash my face, brush my teeth and sleep in a bed with clean sheets. I know.. it’s more like a dream than an extra day!

I use Oil of Olay every night. I’d love to see if this has a difference that I can see.

    Wonderful giveaway!
