Yes, I Am That Mother

You know with a mom that’s a hippie and a dad that’s an anarchist my kids really don’t stand much of a chance to have a normal childhood. Even less so when we start rubbing off onto each other. But I don’t just take it out on the kids, I like to drive strangers crazy too.

There I was sitting at the stoplight just minding my own business. Hair poofed out in the biggest white girl fro ever from the water war we had earlier, windows down with Anti-Flag’s Turncoat turned way up, Evan jamming in all his mohawk glory, and Trey headbanging in his booster seat.

The poor woman in the grey minivan next to me never stood a chance. I wish I knew who she was so I could offer to pay for the corrective surgery to have her eyes put back in her head. I really think staring that hard might have popped something.

Yeah, I have been told that when I am behind the wheel, windows rolled up, I look like a soccer mom, but as soon as I step out, all illusions are shattered ;)

    sooo Where are the photos?
I love singing in the car. I’m at the point, I just don’t care what you think as long as you can’t hear me!

hehehehe thats awesome. When I used to have the boys Jake proclaimed that he really liked Red hot Chili peppers…so I’d sing, He’d “play drums” with water bottles on the seat, and Gabee would bang on his booster seat..t’was fun.

I often found it funny that my son knows the words to a certain Cure song- Yes most kids are singing Row Row your boat mine sings “It’s Friday I’m in love.”
